We were asked to prepare catalog by working in a group. In the same concept that is diverse, works were categorized according to construct which are chosen from the pool and operation which are used such as tear and fold, stretch, addition. we categorized the operations from deformation elements and relations.  The main aim of the catalog is that people can reach knowledge and it would be helpful when we are preparing for juries.

In studio work, we are asked to combine one image and writing photo by dividing horizontal lines or vertical lines.

In digital collage, we were asked to choose one image from the library. The assignment was basically all about A+B=C. The image was divided different sizes with geometric shapes which can be defined in an ordering principle and overlap and transparency have to be used in this college. It is important that pieces which were divided be located with reference to items in the image.

 

Section Drawing

Freehand Drawing

 

This drawing exercise trains the eye by analyzing the dimensional relationships between geometric solids. photograph of a building facade which I chose was draw it with reference lines showing proportion.

Freehand drawing is what we learn from seeing. We were asked to select a spot in TEDU Campus and we sketch it. I used colours to emphasize the surfaces quality.

This exercise uses only points and lines to build, first, basic geometric shapes then landscapes and places.

Abstraction

That was our first assignment in Arch 111 course. Our aim was using only vertical or horizontal lines, I drew the image given to us by using vertical lines. While doing this we have to consider the line weight and line quality, depth of field, differentiation of lights and textural properties. I did not draw all the same image, I removed some details. So, this work can be an example of figurative abstraction.

Poster

This assignment was the first time which I met with the Adobe Photoshop. My main purpose was arranging this image by utilizing the outlines, alignment and reference lines, denoting linear and planar qualities with the text that was given to us. We had also to use only one color.

Architectural Photography (Triptych)

We were asked to take three photographs, which will be variants of each other (different lighting conditions, frames, positions/angles). Triptych means three-fold is usually used for a work of art that is divided into three sections. In photography, the concept is used for works that consist of separate images that are variants on a theme or one large image split into three.

Poster Analysis

Posters should be remarkable, include short information about event and design should be simple to people focus on purpose of poster. In this poster, yellow which is remarkable collar and purple which is coherent with yellow are chosen, big cocktail glass is used to express to purpose of poster. Informations are got very short way. I think that it is remarkable and it is clear what it is evet but I am not sure about pattern where top of the poster .It makes poster crowded when come together with glass’s points. It could be simpler.
